hanoi was pure chaos. motorbikes everywhere, crossing the street felt like a death wish, and the noise never stops. but underneath all that, the city has a lot of character. the food was really good, the nightlife was fun, and i ended up going out to some great spots. walking around the old quarter and the lakes showed me a calmer side of it. got around on the back of grab motorbikes, which was both terrifying and exhilarating. weaving through traffic at full speed holding on for dear life. worked from a few cafes that had good vibes, met some cool people along the way. haggling at the markets was a whole thing. you learn quickly that the first price is never the real price. the endless swarm of motorbikes is overwhelming at first but it ends up being one of the most iconic parts of the place.
